Holy Shit

Want to see why Buddhists say you need to get rid of your ego? This man just ruined his credibility and likely his career over it. He has been on Rachel before and knew that coming back on was a challenge. If you seen his last appearence you know he knew she was going to ask him questions to make him uncomfortable. At the end of the segment, when he knew they were out of time (if you've ever been in a tv show on air everyone knows when time is running out offstage) he says something he probably regrets right now. Again, HE KNEW rachel didn't have time to respond. Guess what she said...

I just cancelled our next segment, would you be so kind as to stick around...... And here it is. PLEASE COMMENT!

Segment 1

Segment 2

It looks like she went on today to talk about this group some more. I haven't seen it yet, but I will probably post that too. Good on Rachel.

Raft The Skagit River In Search of Sasquatch

I ran into this story and thought of Joseph. Reading the article I was surprised to find that people think the animals live in Whatcom and Skagit County. I have been here most of my life and had no idea.....

"Dave Button, owner of Pacific Northwest Float Trips, loaded up his small bus recently to lead a group of visitors on one of his most popular river tours - to see where the elusive and legendary Sasquatch had allegedly been sighted"

Baby Survives After Being Run Over By Train

Horrifying looking video but just remember...

the baby is OK!

Lemur Video

This was something that got me very emotional. I clipped it out and wanted to share it with you to see if I was being a big baby. These lemurs they found sing songs like whale songs. I want to go to that forrest now. I also kind of wonder why we don't have any primates in North America, but basically on every other continent. I feel cheated.

Something Else to Checkout

There is a show I am watching called "Last Chance to See" which is hosted by Stephen Fry where they go out and find endangered animals with the vulnerability for extinction, in the wild. I just watched the first episode where they go to find the Amazon Manatee and the Pink Dolphins there. This show is brilliant. I don't know where it airs except BBC2, but BBC America, Discovery, CCTV, or NeoGeo should have it too I would think. The first video is the commercial and the following is a clip.

It is extra great because of Stephen Fry. He is very intelligent, has a large vocabulary, and is slightly silly. The of course there is the fact that he is an openly gay man who is extremely famous in England, but he doesn't wear the gay label. A lot like Sir Ian McClellan. He did another show kind of like this called Stephen Fry in America where he goes to every single state in the country and visits something he finds fascinating. He may get the most perfect jobs available on this planet. Enough gloating. I think you guys would like it because of the natural and environmental factors. The rest is all frosting.

He just broke his arm severely in episode 2!

This is a clip from his other show "Stephen Fry in America." You get such a neat opportunity to see our country through the eyes of a foreigner.

If you have a few minutes, you owe it to yourself to look at this set of photos from boston.com. This is like one of the coolest things I've ever seen. There are like 20 other photos of the event here:

Best Costume Ever

The Recession Is Over?

All around me I see signs of things getting worse. As just an average person going about my day I'm seeing more empty stores and the ones still open, which aren't as crowded, sporting sales signs trying to entice customers. There are more obviously homeless people.

Through my work I am seeing more people being dragged into court, ordered to bring all their financial information, in order to enforce judgments against them usually for a consumer loan. Noticeably more people are getting evicted for non payment of rent.

Now this sad local story.....

Man sets fire to home and hangs self in yard.
"People who know the man told authorities he was going to be evicted from the residence for failure to pay rent, Fields said."

Michael Moore should include that story in his next film.

I did remember something I learned from "Capitalism" that I hadn't been aware of before. US Airline pilots are grossly underpaid for what they do. Some have second jobs. Some qualify for food stamps.

That is appalling.

Vindication

I wrote a blog post a while back complaining about how my generation is lost because of this financial mess. I saw this article on Huffington Post this afternoon, linked from Business Week. Saying pretty much the same thing. I'm of course depressed this is true, but am happy that something is coming out that isn't thru the eyes of a 40-45 year old professional. I appreciate that view point, but I don't like that it is the only one news is ever told from.
